"H2O," an acronym with a double meaning, was chosen by St. Matthew's children as the name for their Sunday School program.

H2O is, of course, the chemical symbol for water.  The children remembered how Jesus offered the woman at the well a drink of living water for eternal life (see John 4).  At H2O the children drink lots of living water.

Just as it's difficult for our bodies to live without water (H2O), the children know that it is difficult for our souls to live without Bible study (H2O).

Another hidden meaning...
It's easy for people to boast and be self-centered. H2O is a nice way to remember that, as God's children, we want to be "Humble to One," humble to Jesus our Savior.  That's only right.  Jesus humbled Himself to die on the cross for us so we could go to heaven.  We want to serve Him humbly.  What a joyful way to grow up!

"Prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed." ~ 1 Peter 1:13
